Do you get undressed in a session?

Usually some clothing comes off, often not all of it, and never before it's been agreed. That's the honest answer, and it's more useful than the one you'll get from the wikiHow articles and Psychology Today pieces currently answering this question.

Why it isn't a fixed rule

Because it depends entirely on what we're doing. Some sessions need skin, because the sensation is the point. Some need you fully dressed, because the ritual of being undressed, or refused permission to undress, is the point. Some involve a uniform, a collar, latex, or your own suit with the tie used against you.

What decides it is what we agreed beforehand. Nothing gets decided in the room that wasn't discussed outside it.

The thing you're actually asking

Most people asking this aren't asking about clothing. They're asking whether they're going to be exposed, physically or otherwise, in a way they haven't agreed to and can't stop.

So: you agree a word before we start that pauses everything. It works for the whole session, it works for things you said yes to an hour earlier, and using it costs you nothing. That's the mechanism, and it's the same one everybody in this world uses, because it works.

On being seen

Bodies are a subject people arrive tense about. Not attractive enough, not young enough, not fit enough, and a specific fear about being judged while in a vulnerable position.

It comes up so consistently that it's worth answering directly. It has never once been a problem in a session, and it is not what I'm looking at.

Practical answers

  • Wear what you'd wear to a decent restaurant. You'll be arriving somewhere discreet and you'd rather look ordinary doing it.
  • Bring anything you want to be seen in. Latex, a uniform, something you've never had an excuse to wear.
  • Underwear you feel fine in matters more than you'd think.
  • If there's something you'd rather keep on, say so beforehand. It's a limit like any other and I won't ask why.

What about me

I dress for the session, and how I'm dressed is part of what you're there for. What I wear is my decision, and it usually involves latex.

Whether you're too inexperienced for this answers the question sitting underneath this one. Or write to me and put the question in the message. It's a reasonable thing to want to know.

If the nerves go wider than clothes, am I too vanilla for this covers the rest of them.

Questions people ask

Do you have to get naked with a Dominatrix?

Not necessarily. Some clothing usually comes off, often not all of it, and only what was agreed in advance. Some sessions are done fully clothed.

Can I keep something on during a session?

Yes. It is a limit like any other. Say so beforehand and you will not be asked to explain.

What should I wear to a first session?

Something ordinary for arriving discreetly, plus anything you want to be seen in. Underwear you feel comfortable in matters more than people expect.
