Can a woman see a Dominatrix?
Yes. Short answer, top of the page, because you have probably had to scroll past a great deal to find it written down anywhere.
Why you had to ask
Almost every Dominatrix in this country writes as though every person reading is a man. The photographs, the pronouns, the little jokes about "gentlemen" all point one way, so a woman reading it is left working out whether she counts as an exception, an inconvenience or a novelty. None of that is a policy anybody wrote down. It is just an industry that got into a habit.
The habit has a practical consequence, which is that women assume they have to explain themselves before they can even ask. You don't.
You're not unusual for wanting this
Fantasies of submission are common in women. When researchers have actually measured how widespread these interests are, sexual submission comes out as an ordinary interest in both men and women, and not a rare one. How rarely it gets said out loud tells you about the conversation, not about how many people are having the thought.
Being dominated by a woman, as a woman, also does something particular: it separates power from the gender script it usually arrives attached to. For a great many queer and gender-expansive people that is precisely the appeal.
What's different about a session, and what isn't
Structurally, almost nothing changes. There's a conversation first, a word that pauses everything, a session shaped around what you said you wanted, and time afterwards to come back down. All of that is the same whoever is kneeling.
What does tend to differ is the starting point. Women often arrive having done far less of the reading, because the whole apparatus of forums, etiquette guides and beginner advice was written with a male reader in mind. That means less homework done, and it also means fewer inherited assumptions to unlearn, which I'd honestly call an advantage.
What to say when you write
- That you're a woman, if you'd like to. It changes nothing about whether I'll see you, and it lets me pitch the first reply properly.
- Roughly what draws you. Not a list of techniques, just the shape of the thing.
- Anything you already know you don't want.
- Whether you've done this before. Never having done it is not a mark against you, and most women who write to me haven't.
You don't need the vocabulary. Half of it is invented anyway. Give me your own words for what you want, and keep the correct term for something you don't.
If you're bringing a partner
Then the couples session is a different arrangement with a different shape, and that page covers it.
Where to go from here
The fuller page on sessions with women, femmes and trans women says what I actually like about them, in my own words. Or you can skip the reading and write to me.
